About Enfield

Enfield (EN1) is the most northerly London borough and forms part of Outer London, it borders the London borough of Barnet. Enfield has a distinguished history being home to a Royal palace, a host of famous people, several country houses and five ancient monuments.

Enfield Town centre completed a major redevelopment project under the name PalaceXchange in 2007 while retaining the Palace Gardens Shopping Centre.

Oak Hill Theological College and Capel Manor college are the two main colleges in the area. Middlesex University the former polytechnic, has two campuses in Enfield: Cat Hill and Trent Park.

There is more than a dozen football pitches. These are used by local amateur football clubs including Winchmore Hill FC, Mayfield Athletic FC and Southgate County FC
